Labor Day Weekend - Etsybloggers Carnival

One of the topics for this week's carnival is
"Labor Day Weekend: plans/traditions"

As a kid, Labor Day Weekend was always the last weekend before school started back (that’s me, the baby sister!) This Labor Day, I’m planning to stick around the house, and enjoy a full 4 days reprieve from work. I don’t know if my day job is getting harder, but I do feel like I need a breather.

In January, Storybeader went into business, and I became more serious as a jewelry designer. It’s been a lot of fun, and a great creative outlet, but a bit of a strain on my time.

I seriously need some kind of balance here between these two full time jobs!

Hey Deb! I love this picture of you and your siblings!
Thanks for your nice comments... No, Emily was not a nanny, but rather an Emily Dickinson or Brontë... i figured it was a great name for a typewriter! lol

Balance? I am still trying to figure out how to balance work, babies and all of the computer stuff!

I too love the picture of your and your sister and brother. Great black and white. Was that your parents boat and where were you?

That black and white photo of your siblings is classic. I just love black and white photos. As for taking a breather and balance....I'm right there with you.

Lily, yes, I grew up sailing with my family - every weekend, except in the winter. Raritan Bay, in Perth Amboy, NJ is where we sailed out of. Many years we brought the boat down the Intercoastal Waterway to Florida for the winter. Great family fun!

Sheesh! I can relate to having two full time jobs. I work 40 hours outside the home, have a 7 month old and try to sew in between! Keep at it!! :) & Thanks for commenting on my blog!
