Etsybloggers Carnival - June 19, 2009

Summer's just starting. And it's already Hot Hot Hot in southwest Oklahoma. Because of the climate, I have to start planning when I do things during the day. The only time I can water is either early morning or at dusk. Otherwise, the water hardly hits the ground before it evaporates! I hate the idea of using energy and turning on the air conditioner, but my DH doesn't agree. So I give in to comfort, and we set the thermostat to 73 starting June.

I never used to have hay fever - think I must have caught it from my DH. So that's one reason I enjoy the Summer - the pollen is pretty much gone, along with the headaches. Mosquitoes? They're still flying around now, but come July, I think they all die of heatstroke.

So, does it sound hot in my neighborhood yet? Yes, it is, but that's ok, it's nice to have seasonal changes.

Summer plans? Nothing much going on here. I just got back from my big vacation, so I‘ll be sticking close to home. My plan is to schedule my time a bit better - spend more time creating and less on the computer. OK, confession time: Do you limit your hours on the computer? If so, what's your number?

Love the picture of your gardens. As for watering - we have had over 2 weeks of rain - so we are well saturated here. Will be glad to send you a little rain! I think summer is the best time of year - it can never get too hot for me.
ps = mosquitos never die - esp around me!

I sure remember the heat in the midwestp - the kind that you can't cool off even in the shade! Your garden looks wonderful and I'm sure it's fun to enjoy your harvest. I'm hoping to be more productive and limit hours on the computer so if you figure out the secret to doing that, please let me know!

lol at the heat stroked mosquitoes!

I need to start limiting my computer time so I get more creating done, but when I'm tired wandering around the internet is just so much easier than actually being productive.

agreed, heat stroked mosquitoes, pretty hilarious. no such luck in SW Ohio.
I don't count my computer hours (too scary). It seems folks are spending less time on the computer now that warmer weather is here. Perhaps, in your case, the hot weather would drive you inside. And I agree with Dashery, that it's easier when tired to surf the net, than to actually DO something.

Be happy those mosquitoes die off! Here in Michigan we have to deal with them all summer.

As far as computer time vs. creative time. I'm with you, I'm trying to cut back on the computer so that I can get more designs done. Stupid addictions, if it isn't one thing it's another!
