almost wordless wednesday - Irish Sunset

Sun setting over the Atlantic Ocean, on our way home after eating dinner at a local pub. Seafood chowder for me! Sunset in Ireland this time of year is at 10:15 PM.

Isn't it wonderful to know that sunsets are beautiful wherever we are?

Thanks for sharing your sunset photo! 10:15! The sun set around 7:45 in St Maarten. I love long sunlit days. To answer your question, on any beach in St Maarten/St. Martin (Dutch & French), you will see toplessness and often total nudity. It is true that Europeans have a totally different view of public (beach) nudity.
The Caribbean IS wonderful. Of the BVIs, I have been to only St. Croix. The snorkeling was outstanding there.
Aaahhhh....aren't vacations great?! Someday I hope to get to Ireland. So far, I have spent most of my travel time in the US. (It's such a wonderful country!)

Beautiful photo - I think there is a shade of green that you can only find in Ireland. I love those long days (and short nights). Once we sailed North in the Irish Sea headed for Scotland. It was late June so we only had about 5 hours of night sailing. Lucky thing - there were a million fishing boats around us and they were really hard to dodge!

Wow, 10:15? That's lovely:)

So I figured Artfire wasn't as publicized as Etsy. I suppose I did myself a disservice by pulling my best sellers from my etsy shop then to set up on artfire. We'll see. I'm doing the verified account too. Now I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

Excellent, Deb! I'd love to photograph that view for myself one day.

Such a lovely photo! If the sun sets that late, how early does it come up?

BT - Sun is up like usual - 6-7 I guess. Ireland is just so much farther north than in the states... and Europe....Middle East, etc.

So lovely to see a summer sunset. It is the middle of winter here in Oz and the sun had set by 6pm. Sigh, better go and put another log on the fire.

It IS amazing how, over time, and very slowly, water wears away rock. I have been to a couple of the Virgin Islands and St. Maarten. and there are sections that are very deserty.
