Etsy Success Holiday Boot Camp - Week #1

I'm in boot camp now.
Let's see what the assignment for Week One will entail

Take the Holiday Boot Camp Pledge (that's serious stuff!) √
Vote for the Boot Camp Mascot (good luck, camouflage monkey!) √
Install Web Analytics (already done; hope to have some guidance here) √
Write your Holiday Mission Statement (see below) √
Post in the Boot Camp forum thread
Check out the Facebook Events (something to do during the week)

I wrote the Storybeader's Mission Statement earlier:

"Using Art to Tell Stories"

But since we're looking for a Holiday Mission Statement, I will tick off some specifics:
1) Storybeader will keep visible and easily accessible on Etsy
- relist at least one item every day from October 1st to the end of the year
- make Certificates for Etsy shop
2) Storybeader will keep her blog, Stroll Through Storyland, active
- blog at least 2 times a week
- visit the Entrecard site at least 2 times a week
- make a Gift Certificate for her blog and creative a link
3) Storybeader will focus on papermaking for the rest of the year
- make larger sheets of paper and use for new books
- learn to make leather cover and use handmade paper for journal
- make a notecard set from smaller handmade paper
4) Storybeader will continue to be open to new ideas
- continue with my art journaling and blogging
- visit other interesting websites and blogs, and
5) Storybeader will make all personal gifts for the holidays or use her logos on presents

That should keep me more than busy for the next three months!

If you're creating and selling this holiday season, what are your goals? Have you actually written them down? Here's a good time to make a to do list!

Post a comment below, and let us see your ideas!

Good luck with all of your goals :)

My #1 goal is to keep my sanity...LOL :)
Also, I want to make an album for each family group gift exchange this Christmas.

You have some great goals and I hope you meet them all!

I hope to be ready for a show in December by continuing to make several items every week, starting thinking of additions/changes to my displays now and trying not to get too nervous which I'm failing at already!

Wow, that's pretty ambitious, but good to make and organize goals like this before the holiday season. Good for you and I wish you well with them!

I'm pledging to participate in Etsy boot camp as well. This holiday season my primary goal is to list something new in my shop every day throughout October and November. I'm hoping that by the end of two months, it will be an established habit. Best of luck with your goals!
