almost wordless wednesday - gifted fabric

Isn't this fabric beautiful!?   I received them from Erika, known as Nico Designs.  They are brocade and satin... I'll find out more from mom!  Since I don't have a sewing machine, she'll have to help me out (she doesn't know it yet!) I'm planning to make jewelry bags... Thanks Erika!

The fabric is beautiful what a beautiful gift that was passed on -somehow one cannot replicate things of the past.

When working with it - becareful it frays very easily - you can buy stuff that prevents fraying in a fabric store. Works great.

Deb - this fabric is beautiful - one can't find the beautiful work and colors of "yesteryear" - how nice that your mother passed it on to you.

Fabric like that frays very easily when cut - you can find stuff that prevents fraying in any fabric store. It really helps before sewing!
