unexpected presents

Since my birthday is next month, Mom asked me if I would like a combined Chanukah/birthday present.  "I don't want anything big."  says I.  "Haven't bought any new clothes in a while, but I don't really want any.  Can't think of anything off hand."  But it didn't take long for me to remember something I've been dreaming of for some time now.  Adobe Photoshop.  I wouldn't think of asking mom for the regular software, but a lot of you have said good things about Elements.  That's what I've been thinking of getting.... sometime later, when I can afford it without feeling bad about spending the money.  And that time has come!  Thanks Mom!

Oh that's so awesome, Deb! What a wonderful toy and a great gift! (I don't have it, but it is something I could use along with some other photo toys like a scanner and printer. hmmmm... I have a birthday coming up in a couple months......)

You are on a roll with the journal and it is great.
I like elements. I am still learning but am finally starting to feel better working with things.

What a wonderful gift and I love what you put in your journal about it! Because of you, I came thisclose to asking my DH for stuff that I can use to make an art journal too but I'm still too chicken. Gotta get over the perfectionist gene and not be afraid to "let go".

P.S. My word verification is "redicat". Is that trying to tell me something? Hmmm.

What a great idea! I've been secretly wanting this same thing for a while, but for some reason always forget about it. Hmn...you're giving me ideas:)
