AlphabeThursday - Opus, a creative work

"Opus, a creative work, esp. a musical composition."
Yesterday I was sitting, watching tv with DH, and was so disgusted with all the news in Washington (DC that is) that I had to get away.  So I came to my work table and started to drawn this new tangle, called Opus.  This is just one variation I chose from the zentangle archives.

The hour or so I spent drawing was a little different than usual
1) it's my "Week Without" over at the 30 Day Craft Cleanse, so I couldn't use any of my favorite five supplies - hence the pencils.
2) another thing was I listened to music, which I don't usually do while crafting.  Now, this is very strange, since I love music.
3) and then, something stuck in my mind from the latest Art Journaling magazine.  They asked many of their featured writers, "What is one of your favorite journaling prompts?"  More than one said song lyrics; that's where the nightingale came from (Norah Jones.)  Here's the song - enjoy!

What's your favorite word, beginning with an O ?
Find out how other "students" answered that question at Ms. Jenny's AlphabeThursday class.

I like the blue paper background--very pretty!
And this reminds me of Mr. Holland's Opus:)

Very pretty Opus! The first thing that I think of with the letter 'O' is Oprah:)

It's fun seeing what you come up with without your "five". I'd be so lost!

Orange comes to mind right away.
But I like the word Overachiever :)

I love the word opus!

And I love your dramatic and organic drawing this week.

That background is really outstanding.
