Short Term Goals for June

I'm back in Oklahoma and my favorite tree in the front yard is blooming.  It's quite a shock from being overseas for two weeks.  I'm a little sad and wasn't too excited about going back to work.  But that's what work and vacations are all about - to get away from the routine of everyday life, see new things and relax.... well, see new things!

S Memo - using the keyboard and a smart pen!
Looking back, I notice that I completed most of my goals from May.  I kept in contact with home and took LOTS of pictures.  My new smart phone was really handy - I recorded my adventures with the S Memo, read my book with the Kindle app (review coming up soon) and went crazy with the camera.  I think I might get an anti-glare film for the screen; it was hard to see things in the bright sunlight, and some of my videos aren't centered.  I probably didn't relax as much as I wanted to; we really did a lot of sightseeing and walking every day.  There was just so much to see!

It's hard to think of goals for the month, since I'm still acclimating myself.  But some things I'm thinking about right off-hand:

1)  Watch what I eat.
We ate fabulous food on vacation.  It was all so healthy and delicious.  So, let me try and pay more attention to what I eat, my portions, and try some more meal preparation myself!

2)  Make some new journals and beads.
It's been a long time since I've put anything new in my shop, and that's probably not a good strategy.  So this month, I'm going to use the paper I bought in Florence and create some new products.  Maybe some paper beads and a new journal or two.

3)  Start exercising again.
I really got out of my exercise routine during DH's intersession.  Now that he's back at school, use those nights when he's away from home to exercise.  Remember to take advantage of the quiet and cool weekend mornings and go for walks with Buster.  He loves the pond down the street but it gets so crowded during the day!

I would have had a hard time relaxing too with all the great things to get out and see!
Those papers will be great for your beads and journals!

It's always hard when you've had the luxury of doing whatever you want for a while to get back to a normal schedule. I think those are some lovely goals for the month, and don't sound too hard to accomplish!

I find getting back in to the routine of exercise the most difficult after vacation. That's one of my goals this year - keep the routine. So glad you had a wonderful trip and have all that inspiration now to draw on.

It's always hard making schedule transitions. I'm glad that you were able to keep up with your goals for may. Your goals for June sound great. I look forward to seeing what you make with your new paper.

I figure that if I want to lay around then I can do that at home. Sight see in Italy!!

And I agree that adding listings helps. Sharla and I think that is what has been helping me lately.
