Saturday link list - fashion colors

Patone 2012 Fall Clors

A few years ago, I remember going to the Pantone site to find the new seasonal colors, before making my handmade jewelry.  I still like to visit this site, just to see what's popular and what's not.  Pantone is THE place to go, whether you're decorating for the home or for fashion, both men and women.

The Pantone color for 2012 is Tangerine Tango (17-1463).  On the Pantone website, there a Tangerine Tango Journal available.  It measures 5" x 7-1/8".  Not sure if this includes lined or blank sheets, but there's 192 pages.

On Etsy, Rosana (blursbyai) offers twenty digital sheets with different shades of Tangerine Tango.  The patterns include polka dot, vichy, hibiscus, stripes and retro.

Melanie Ross (Art History Nerd) uses the Spring Pantone colors for making bracelets, cuff links, pendants, hair pins, and key chains.  I think my favorite pieces on Etsy are the bracelets, each with seven different squares, wrapped in silver.

If you're working with fabric this fall, Thread Snippers has put together an Embroidery Thread Kit, containing the ten Patone Fall colors.  Each bobbin (8.7 yards long) has 6-stranded cotton embroidery floss.

Looking for some coasters to use at your worktable?  Here's an Etsy shop all the way from Turkey, called yastikzi.  She has felt coasters featuring four of Pantone's 2012 Fall colors (purple, orange, red, and blue).  Very cute!

Here's my favorite iphone case by casesbycsera that combines both Fall and Winter colors.  This one piece is made of flexible plastic.  I think the  2-3 weeks for overseas shipping to the United States is worth the wait.

If you love all of the 2012 Pantone colors, let me lead you to Janet Long's (JanetLongArts) Etsy shop.  She specifically states that some of her paintings and knitting uses the Pantone colors.  I think my favorite of the lot is her watercolor print called Mexican Pots.  It is signed, titled, and shipped in a clear protective archival bag.

You know how much I love color so I always enjoy studying the new Pantone selections. It's awesome how many Pantone items are out there. I've been working with embroidery thread again lately and really want that little set you featured.

I don't pay much attention to the Pantone selections but maybe I should take notice. I really like that Mexican Pots too!
