List It Tuesday - "overheard"

This week's List It Tuesday theme is "Overheard."  It didn't take me long to think up my approach.  You see, it all started with this edition of Art Journaling (Autumn 2012).  I read an article by Jennifer Bomgardner, where she mentioned how she cuts out words from magazines, and then uses them later in her journal.

I thought, since I can't walk around anyway (because of my broken ankle!), I'd go through some of my magazines and cut them all up.

Looks for words I like, and phrases I MIGHT have overheard,
if I was out and about!

I love quotes and save a lot so what a great idea to put those words onto a journal page!

I love cutting out words and phrases from magazines. I don't always figure out what to do with them, but I still get satisfaction out of it.

Using magazine quotes is a fun addition to your journal :)

What a cool idea! I used to do this in my sketchbook with song lyrics.

Love this theme! Similar (but also different) to this idea is taking the quotes that appeal to you from the bottom of people's emails. I got one the other day that said, "Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life." -- Pablo Picasso

Nice interpretation to this...very creative, adding a bit of authorship and invention to the artistry.

I love this! So creative, and the phrases you've picked are great. I like the getting old one too, and I really admire your tenacity in coming up with a solution for this week's list while unable to get around.
