Month in Photographs - September

September was a busy month for me both at work and at home.  I wrote 21 blog posts including how I made an accordion book for the BBArtisans Monthly Challenge (6) and Aimee's new weekly prompts, called List It Tuesday  (5).  I've had a lot of researchers in my office in September.  At the end of the month, five of us went to the annual conference of the Oklahoma Museum Association in Shawnee.  Here a gentleman (1) who danced for us before dinner on Thursday night.

The weather cooled down a bit in September and DH and I have been walking both dogs.  Here are DH and Buster in the large park by the Museum (4).  It rained a lot, especially when I was gone last week.   I came home to flowering plants (3) and taller grass.  Here are some acorns that DH collected (2) when we went to the post office on Saturday.  I took Buster to the neighborhood lake on Sunday.  Unfortunately, I broke two  three bones in my left ankle when I got stuck in the mud.  Can't put any weight on my foot for six weeks.  That's going to be a long time, but All Things Must Pass.  *sigh*

So sorry to hear about the ankle! You just take care and don't be tempted to do too much too early. Breaks as one gets more mature (I don't do "old"!) do take longer to knit and heal properly and ankles do take a lot of weight - even if you are slight in build. My daughter, who alas is not that way inclined, broke a leg, under her knee cap in late June and was only discharged last week! Still, gives you more time (and excuse) to blog, doesn't it!

Cheer up!

It's awful you broke your ankle but everything else looks like fun for the month. Was the Native American dancer from the Citizen Potawatomi Nation? I'm a member of that tribe in Shawnee, OK so just wondered.

Sounds like a great month up until the broken ankle! I'm sorry your month had to end this way and I hope you heal quickly!

Total OUCH! Praying for a fast recovery - rest well and often! Great pictures! I grew up seeing lots of hoop dancers and eagle dancers - I still enjoy watching them.

I'm so sorry about your ankle! I hope there's not much pain in your recovery (although there probably will be... :( ).

My H and I like to collect nature stuff on each of our trips. We've got a few acorns. :)

an excellent month except for the broken ankle!
I like to collect a few rocks on vacation when possible. I have beach glass from a vacation to the Cayman Islands.
(My hubby's singing along to the song!)

Your capture of the dancer is great! I'm glad that you were able to do so many neat things this past month, even if things did end on a bad note with your ankle. :( I hope that you have a smooth, speedy recovery.
