Almost Wordless Wednesday - ankle progress

I went to the doctor's today.  Here's what my ankle looks like, four weeks after surgery.  Still a little swollen but the doctor is happy with the progress.  Good news: I got a "boot" to wear instead of a split.  I can wash my whole body now, and can take the boot off when laying back at home.  Need to sleep with it though.  Bad news:  3-4 more weeks instead of 2, like I was told at first.  Darn!  End of November/beginning of December, I can start physical therapy...

Yikes! That looks painful to me! Glad you got a boot though but bummer on having to wait longer for physical therapy.

Praying you are all healed fast!

Yikes! Sleeping with the boot on won't be so much fun but at least you know you're healing...

That's great news that you got rid of your splint and you're on to the boot! You're headed in the right direction!

Glad you got the splint off and at least you can wear the boot in shifts. It must feel awesome for it to breathe again! Good luck with the next 3-4 weeks. I hope it flies by fast for you!

That's too bad that the time frame is longer than originally projected, but it's great that you're making such good progress! The boot will be a nice change.

Glad you got the removable kind & can shower! I know that was the hardest thing for me when I just dealt with my hip replacement. Take it easy & rest as much as you can so you can heal well - good luck!

I know you're improving (slowly), but that still looks pretty painful to me. Sending healing vibes your way!
