sewing on paper - I ♥ SNOW

This past weekend, I was playing with my resurrected sewing machine, and I made a collage and mounted it for sale on Etsy.  I knew I'd be thrilled, sewing on paper.  And one day, I'll switch to fabric!

I took some watercolor paper and sewed a rectangular frame for myself.  Then transferred a cute snowman inside, and dressed him up.  The outside of the stitching I stamped with trees and I wrote

around my snowman.   Cute, eh?  I had some extra foam board that I glued my paper onto, for people to mount on the wall or rest on a small easel.

I'm thinking of using the image as a card, but there are so many cards on Etsy in the first place - don't know if I really need to add mine.  Any opinions/experiences about selling greeting cards on Etsy?

So cute!!! All I can say about the card bracket is that my little gift tags/ gift cards used to be my biggest seller but I haven't sold a single pack online for about 3 years now. Tough bracket. They work really well at shows though!

That is really cute! Sewing on paper is so much fun. I agree with Nancy that I haven't had much luck selling cards on Etsy, but I've done better with them at shows.

What a cute idea! He sure turned out great! I haven't sold cards on etsy, so no idea how they do.

I've sold a few cards on etsy in the past. Go ahead and try.
Consider selling ACEO prints, too.

Cute snowman! There's something about sewing on paper that is so therapeutic. Hope you do more of these, and I'm so glad you got your sewing machine to work!
