Saturday Link List - Christmas decorations

Are you ready to make or buy holiday decorations this year?
Here's a one-stop post to get you on your way.

Linda (Pruitt Creations) will be sharing Christmas ideas every day this month.  She will have a linky post on Friday, called "30 Days of Christmas Fun," where everyone can add what they're up to for the holidays.  If you have Christmas ideas, join her link on Friday and share your favorite craft ideas, decoration ideas, and Christmas recipes.  Here's the first Linky!

If you like to sew, this is a great time of year.  Over at the BBArtisans team on Etsy, we've been talking about Christmas trees and what people are putting up this year.  Lots are saying they are using artificial trees.  One of the main reasons is that real trees are so messy.  So, what about making a tree skirt to catch all the mess!  Rebecca (Rebecca Prange) has a real folk artsy sewing pattern.

If you like quilting, here's a beautiful tree shirt PDF pattern offered by Cynthia (MistyBayPatterns) that can be sewn by hand or with a sewing machine.  I think it looks great.  Does it make you want to go out and get a live tree to put in your living room?

I was also looking at ornaments, to decorate the tree with.  This is an adorable little Holiday Bell, brought to you by Yang (LYPatterns) that comes with a PDF tutorial and pattern.  It will only take one hour for a novice seamstress to make; you can cut that time in half for an expert.

If you don’t feel like making your own ornaments, there are many cute and  beautiful ones available on Etsy.  In my BBArtisans team, Sarah (Magnolia Surprise) sews crocheted play food.  She has some Christmas sugar cookies in their own bag, to hang on the tree or leave for Santa.

Everyone loves to put stockings out during the holidays.  So I decided to made a treasury, featuring some of the different Christmas stockings I saw.  Come by and see if there’s one just for you, or your pet!
