List It Tuesday - Things I Collect

I collect paper.       Big surprise.
I collect stamps.   And make them too.
I collect turtles.   Ceramic, glass, silver, crystal, fabric, stone. You name it!

I collect books.  All my shelves have a row of books on them.
I collect postcards.    Great to pick up while traveling.
And now I'm a member of Postcrossing.

I collect molas.   They are my favorite pieces of textile art.
I collect ribbon.  Can't buy just one roll - they're so inexpensive and colorful.

I'm sure there's more I collect, like different kinds of art supplies, but this is what quickly came to mind.

See other lists at Aimee's blog, artsyville

Lots of collections! I collect postcards, too; I have a big photo album of them... and then more in piles around the house, heh.

Turtles?

I think my biggest collection right now is dog fur. I can't get rid of it all!

I collect a lot of stuff, too! I'm not going to count any of my beads because *technically* those are for work. (wink!)

I collect jewelry, most of it vintage, and whenever I travel I buy a piece to remember the trip. I also have a stash of fabric, vinyl records, books, artwork (holy moly do we have a lot of artwork)...

Stamps, family photographs and fabrics (just in case I can use them in the future for my toys!) Trouble is the fabric is coming in faster than the toys are being made! Result, definitely lack of space!

What fun collections! Would love to see your molas and turtles.

I collect fabric and buttons, and I have a small collection of angels.

You have a wide variety of collections! I didn't know you collect turtles. Maybe you could show us your collection sometime!

These link lists are so much fun. I'm a sucker for inexpensive ribbon, too. How can you not resist?

How cool! I have a Mola =) I rarely find people who have even heard of them.

That post crossing sounds like fun. I'm joining the "liberate your art" postcard exchange for the first time this year and have that link at the bottom of my blog.

I think I may have seen the rose rock you mentioned in your comment.

Paper and stamps are so hard for me to not collect!

Interesting to see what we all collect--I really enjoyed this post, as well as everyone's comments. Besides the usual crafting supplies (fabric, buttons, beads, paper, yarn and so on), I collect tiny tins, blown glass birds, baskets and BOOKS (big time!).

Molas are beautiful! (I didn't know what they were called so I had to look it up. So cool. And I learned a word! Thank you for that.)

My son collected teen-aged mutant ninja turtles. I'm guessing it's not the same thing.

Oh, I collect books too. I forgot about those!

Great list! Stamps were my first collecting addiction. :)

It's amazing how many of the same items we all collect. Would love to know the story behind the turtle collecting.

I have never heard of molas, but they look so interesting! The turtle collecting struck me as amusing since we are a "one of" house when it comes to critters- one cat, one dog, one fish, one kid... ;)

I'm really wanting to see everyone's postcard collections -- I've decided that I need to send more. What better way to keep in touch with someone while that memento can also double as art? Gotta go start a postcard collection...
