Glue it Tuesday, Week #9 - Journal Soup

The new workshop I just started this weekend is called Journal Soup, taught by Kate Crane.  I spoke a little about it in my Short Term Goals for May.  The idea is to work on small pieces of paper and add them to your little storage (and display) box.  You can do this as a "warm up" exercise before you start a spread in your art journal.  Use what you have.  Save quotes and images your want to use for later.  Be inspired by techniques you try.

I glued a cut-down envelope, instead of using a small paper bag like Kate did in her video example ( I never get bags that small!)  Also on the card is a pretty stamp I receive in the mail, along with some of the bubbles I made in Tammy's Watercolor Playground workshop.  Kate will use six different techniques on paper in her workshop: spray ink, collage, drawing, text, self-carved stamps, and acetate.  I'm excited to try them all.

I'm linking with Aimee at Artsyville for Glue It Tuesday HERE.
Come see what other art journalists are gluing.

Love the envelope window frames. The challenge to warm up with a small bit using scraps is great.

That does sound like a cool 'warm up.' Maybe I should give it a try!

I LOVE your collage page, to use an envelope is a great idea and the color combo is fantatic. Have fun with Kate´s workshop!
