Short Term Goals - May 2013

Last month went by so quickly.  But I did fulfill my goals; lost some weight, started my workshops, and organized my calendar.  Which reminds me to print up a calendar for this month!  Now, May will be just as busy!  I need to complete some more workshops, get well before my meetings at work with the new exhibit fabricators, and visit with family one or two weekends this month.  How will I ever manage that?

Here are three short-term goals:

Watercolor Playground by the Storybeader
1)  21 Secret Workshops
I decided to watercolor with Tammy Garcia (Watercolor Playground) - I'm so thrilled with her great instructions.  And if I work outside my journal with Kate Crane (Journal Soup) this month, I can clean my craft room a bit.  Kate has 6 lessons, where we use lots of our leftovers on various sheets.  Then everything gets stored in a box for later use.  Great idea.  The BBArtisans Challenge this month is "May Flowers" and there's a Flower Power workshop with Ro Bruhn, so I may start that this month too.  I really enjoy going through the workshops one by one, finishing them as I go...

2) Get Well!
Even though I want to stay busy with my workshops, I need to spend a lot more time exercising my ankle.  And if it doesn't stop hurting, I will make an appointment with the surgeon and see what my next step (that wasn't done on purpose) should be.  I don't want to go back to physical therapy because it's so expensive, since I haven't met my deductible yet.

in the craft room!
3) Clean House
My third goal?  I guess I should help DH a bit more around the house, and start cleaning again.  I'm real bad about that, and I've let the entire house go to hell!  Here's a view of just one wall in my craft room, and it's a mess.  Also, I need to box and bring unused clothes to Goodwill and get to the recycling center!

Do you have any goals for the month of May?

Your workshops sound great! The housework can wait. I still haven't done my Spring cleaning -- and I don't have a sore ankle. Finally took some recycling to the recycle site last weekend.

Creative minds are seldom tidy.

Congrats on meeting your goals last month! I need to get started on the May BBA challenge, too.

Congrats on your success with your goals last month! I think the culprit is pretty darn cute and he can't wait to take you on another walk! Good luck with your goals this month! I need to figure out that lose weight one. :)

You and I share one goal in common this month: to exercise more! I have cut out soda (again), and am seeing some results from taking daily walks. Little walks, and little bits of progress, but progress nonetheless. Good luck with all three of your goals!
