AlphabeThursday - E is for Entertainment

What's your favorite form of entertainment?  I love music, and dance, and theatre.  And PBS is fabulous when you don't have the means of going to a Broadway show or concert.

Mom and I watched "Live from Lincoln Center - Carousel" a few weeks ago, when I spent the night at her house.  I wasn't aware of all the great music in this musical by Rodgers and Hammerstein.  Here's a 3 minute video of one of my favorite scenes:

(This card was made after I heard that Stephen Stills was dead.
But do not fear, he is still alive)

Have you thought about joining the AlphabeThursday classroom?
It's easy!  Pick a word starting with the letter of the week and write something about it on your blog or website.  Then visit 10 other people on the Linky Tools list of links; 5 sites before your spot on the list and five sites after.  That's Ms. Jenny only rules..

Fun! I've never seen Carousel, but I'm sure that it's a classic.

Carousel, the musical when my school produced when I was 12. The next year, I joined and we did the Gipsy baron.

I love music of all kinds. And I love a good concert or musical.

That took me by surprise reading about Stephen Stills. Glad it wasn't true!

Judging from all the time I spend with books, I guess I'd say that reading is my favorite form of entertainment. But I have to admit that PBS has some marvelous entertainment that is available on TV, smart apps and the Internet. Let's hear it for good, FREE entertainment!

I have loved Rodgers and Hammerstines music for many, many years. It is almost sad, in that clip, that the actress could not really understand the kind of love that was written in the script. Not everything in our existence is perfect.
