BBArrtisans Challenge - travels abroad

Sea Creatures Crochet Play Set
This month, Sarah (Magnolia Surprise) is hosting our BBArtisans Challenge:
"We are into vacation season in July -- create something that brings back a favorite vacation memory, something that represents a place you've visited or one you'd like to visit, colors or scents associated with a special place, or perhaps something funny that happened on a vacation. Make it fun!!"

I'm not visiting anyplace special in July, but this challenge reminds me of all the
neat places overseas (that's Great Britain and Europe for me)  I've been in the past.
I love maps, so I thought I'd make a collage of the places I've been.
Maybe in the future I can circles more places I'll travel to!

The first place I traveled to overseas was England.  I couldn't find any photographs from that trip.  Which reminds me to look for some, the next time I visit Mom.  But my parents, my sister and I stayed with some people that my father knew, in Bath.  It was an exciting vacation, being the first time I journeyed across the ocean.

In 2009, my family traveled to Ireland.  I loved visiting all the old castles and historic spots.
We flew into Dublin, then rented a house in the westernmost county of Kerry,
in Dingle to be exact.  I love traveling with my family because they enjoy hiking and visiting museums.  I worry about my walking abilities in the future though...

The latest vacation overseas was with my family again.  This time it started out as a gift
to my nephew, who just graduated from law school.  He got to choose wherever he wanted
to go, and Italy it was. Well, everyone wanted to go with him.  I was so thrilled,
because Venice has always been on my bucket list.
Many of you have seen this photo before, but I get a kick out of it.

Who knows what the future will bring.  I've been to a lot of places in the US, but there are still cities and landscapes I'd like to see...

What a great way to display your memories! It's wonderful you've been able to go to so many places with your family! Maybe you'll need to add a Pacific Northwest page to that book! :)

Fun places to go! I'd need to get a Passport first, though.

great travel pages! I like maps, too! What a great idea!
How wonderful that you have family who like to travel in the same way.

Fun way to remember your trips! If there's one thing that Europe has, it's history! Thanks for featuring my sea creatures play set -- so sweet of you!!
