I do enjoy recognizing Etsy artists who have included something from my shop to put in their treasuries. So I thought it would be fun to feature an item from their shops, that says summer to me. I think these curators were all thinking of summer themselves and that may be why my two yellow journals have been so popular this month!
Judy's (JNOriginals) treasury, A Breath of Summer, is a nice mix of bright yellow items and summer related pieces. She crochets lots of gloves and headwarmers, but they're definitely not in season. I chose a bright flower brooch instead.
Kathy's (tapestry316) treasury is called Sum-sum-summertime! I know you've seen this fun guy before on my blog before but did you know his name? It's Mr. Random Dude, and he's hiding on the beach! An original ACEO mixed media painting.
I was touched that Barbara (TouchOfSilver), included one of my journals in her Bold Color for First Friday Art Walk - July. I just had to show you what a great looking treasury it is. In her shop announcement, she tells how she "stumbled upon a bead store in the Adirondacks," which started her career in jewelry design.
I think her bracelets are my favorites. Here's a bracelet and earrings set that has a beautiful mix of silver and lampwork beads; very reasonably priced.
Abigail Jayne (Abigail JayneArt) was dreaming of having sunshine all day long when she put together her Sunshine Dreamin' treasury. It's always fun to see what Linda is doing with her new shop; it certainly brightened up my day when I saw this beautiful necklace. I love combining textiles with traditional crafts!
Trina's (trinasclaycreations) treasury, Love Always Wins, is full of hearts and colorful pieces that remind you of love. If you are thinking about decorating a cake, go and talk to Trina - she can create a fabulous little sculpture for you! Here's a funny scene, for someone's wedding. Sorta reminds me of my husband and myself!
I hope you enjoyed visiting some handmade items from favorite shops on mine. Come by and link to the treasuries too!
