AlphabeThursday - L is for Luminescent

From Dion Dior's July 26th post called Herb Garden
There's one instructor from the 21 Secrets workshop series that I've been anxious to take a class with.  And that's Dion Dior.  Her workshop is called Sparkle-Arkle, and it's very well organized, with lots of videos.

Here is some of her artwork, along with the products I'm planning to buy.

From Dion Dior's July 22nd post, called Twinkling Color
Dion's workshop is all about luminescence.  She says, "Luminescence in art-journaling is a beautiful, twinkling process that can be subtle yet very powerful.  Everyone is attracted to the dance of light and color, light refraction and reflection draws the observer in and keeps them mesmerized."

I've never been captivated by sparkling materials, but I think Dion is a wonderful artist, who loves sparkle!  Once I get some new supplies, I'll start my projects.

One of her favorite products is called Twinkling H2O.    I liked how these looked in her intro video, so I've ordered a set of 10 from Amazon.   Something else I want to buy from Luminarte is called Creative Imaginations Radiant Rain Dauber.  Looks like Jo-Ann fabric stores carry them (I'm hoping they're in stock), so I'll look locally, before ordering online.  Hopefully I won't need all the supplies Dion talks about.  I know I have some gold leaf sheets around the house somewhere - hopefully I can find them.  And I'd like to get the Clorox Bleach pen she talks about!  Stay tuned for some artwork!

I visited her site and... WOW! What fabulous color! Can't wait to see what glittery shiny art you come up with! Clorox bleach pens work well for grout too.... hehe!

From the photos you posted, it looks like "sparkling" is more about light shining through than about glitter products, which I appreciate (the light shining through, not the glitter!). I look forward to seeing what you do with your new products and techniques.

Luminescent is a perfect word for her artwork...

I have never been a huge fan of sparkles either but after looking at her art I might just change my mind!

Lovely post for the letter "L"...

Good luck on your supply search.
