|A mini art journal from mom, that I brought to Italy.|
I remember when my family used to play scrabble on the weekend or during the summer, the Letter X was every player’s wish. Being the youngest… always… I could never understand why a letter that I thought was so hard to use (though worth 8 points) was always so desirable. Until I got the hang of the game.

The Letter X is really not difficult to use, unless you need to start out with it. Like here!
If you have a vowel, you can sneak the letter X in anywhere. Got an A, you have ax, tax, wax or axe (don’t think fax was a word yet!) An I: fix, mix, six. An O: box, fox, lox. See what I mean? And if you include slang (we didn’t), you have more great words, like nix or pix.

So if you get the Letter X the next time while playing scrabble,
remember to wait for a vowel, and place your word at the extreme top &/or left.
What crazy word do you think of, that’s starts with an X?
